We take you step by step as you learn medical insurance billing to become an employee biller working in a doctor's office or use the information to start a Medical Insurance Billing Business from your home. Learn how to fill out the universal claim form accepted by all insurance carriers. How to find the appropriate codes in the CPT and ICD-9 codebooks (these codes are used nationally). What are modifiers and how are they used. Rules and regulations when billing for Medicare. Learn about managed care. Collecting monies from patients. Learn insurance billing terminology. You will have sample problems to complete in this self-paced class. Learn how to keep updated and how to network with other insurance billers. Learn all about electronic billing and how that works. You will also have your own personal instructor as you can ask questions through e-mail for one full month from the time class begins. Medicine will never go out of business so this is a secure field to enter. You can take an open book quiz and e-mail it to us for a certificate mailed to you.
