This course is designed for the nonnative English speaker with little exposure to or instruction in English. The course focues on the study of basic patterns of English structure and on the composition of paragraphs and simple essays at an introductory English level. Students practice basic grammatical structures through a variety of oral and written activities and practivce proofreading, editing, and revising of personal essays.
