This course is designed to allow currently licensed EMT-B technicians to upgrade skills to the EMT-IV status and permits EMT¿s previously trained outside of Tennessee to become eligible for licensure in Tennessee. Course topics include legal and ethical issues, anatomy, advanced airway, patient assessment, pharmacology, intravenous access, medication administration, and special populations. The level of training is considered entry level for EMS I in Tennessee.
