This course is designed to improve reading fluency. Identifying main ideas with major and minor supporting details, sequencing, locating facts, using contextual clues, drawing conclusions, making inferences, understanding figurative language, and detecting tones and mood are skills that are developed. Vocabulary extension, critical thinking skills, and pleasure reading are stressed. Prerequisite: Documented competency in DSPR 0700 skills.
