Prerequisite: ITON 1725 or ITON 1740 or permission of instructor This course provides students with the skills needed to be effective administrators of Red Hat Linux systems. Topics include mastering tasks such as hardware and device configuration, file system management, user administration, network configurations, kernel services, attaching new Linux systems to a corporate network, configuring the new systems for end users, and troubleshooting. This course helps students prepare for Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) certification. (5 contact hours: 2 lecture, 3 lab)
