Prerequisite: ITIS 1005 or ITON 1011 or permission of instructor This course introduces students to the Linux/Unix Operating System. Students will become familiar with basic Linux commands entered through the BASH shell for file system management, editing, printing, and process control. Students will also learn how to use Linux KDE and GNOME graphical user interfaces (GUIs). This course helps students prepare for the Linux+ certification exam. (3.25 contact hours: 0.75 lecture, 2.5 lab)
