Prerequisite: CNET 2720 or ITON 2238 or ITON 2239 or permission of instructor This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of networks and security in a business environment. It presents network and information security technology in the context of large infrastructures and the specific management principles required to provide services that offer confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Topics include strategies to assist students in identifying the information technology needs of the organization, designing a network, access control, security architectures, business continuity planning, security policies, ethics, and operations security. This course helps students prepare for the industry certification exams. (5 contact hours: 2 lecture, 3 lab)
