Prerequisite: ITIS 1005 or permission of instructor This course provides an introduction to problem-solving techniques, the steps of the program development cycle, and fundamental skills needed for programming in any computer language. Students will develop programs using program flowcharts, pseudocode, and structure charts with common batch and interactive logic patterns. Students will use one or more programming languages to gain experience with the complete program development process. This course also includes an introduction to object-oriented programming and to the Visual Studio.NET development environment. (4 contact hours: 2 lecture, 2 lab)
