Prerequisite: HLTH 1210, HLTH 1220 (can be taken concurrently) This course, in conjunction with HLTH 1235 CPT Coding, addresses specialized methodologies necessary to correctly submit insurance claim forms, including the basic principles required to code diagnoses using the International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification System to meet the requirements for physician billing.
