Prerequisite: Previous Paramedic Certification This course provides a review of basic knowledge and skills used in the treatment and transport of the sick or injured until they reach the hospital. The course places emphasis on trauma and medical patient management, obstetrics and pediatric management, and geriatric emergencies. The course also presents current methods of patient management and the use of new equipment. Successful completion of this course meets the requirements for renewal of certification as a Paramedic. (3 contact hours)
