Prerequisite: CHEM 1050 This course engages students in focused scientific inquiry investigation pertaining to a significant issue in a specific area of study. As the individual focuses on the processes of doing an investigation, they will develop the ability to ask questions,investigate aspects of the world around them and use their observations to construct reasonable explanations for the questions posed. The course encompasses a mix of formal ways of learning such as classes/laboratory excerises and informal means such as independent study through Blackboard, electronic discussions, research for possible capstone projects through electronic databases, and utilization of electronic journals.
