RADT 2004 Introduction to Computed Tomography Pre-Requisites: Summer 2010 only: RADT 1005, RADT 1113 Pre-Requisites: Summer 2011 and beyond: RADT 1006, RADT 1009, RADT 1113 3-2-4 Content is designed to impart an understanding of the components, principles, and operation of computed tomography (CT) imaging systems found in diagnostic radiology. Factors that impact image acquisition, display, archiving and retrieval are discussed. Guidelines for performing basic chest, abdomen, head, neck, and pelvis CT examinations will be covered. Methods to reduce patient exposure to ionizing radiation will be discussed. This is a required course for the Radiologic Science cohort.
