Course covers fundamentals of mechanical principles as applied in the industrial/manufacturing setting. Emphasis is placed on mechanical drive systems and power trans- mission systems. Topics include fasteners, V-belts, chain drives, gear drives, and multiple shaft drives. Students will practice safety at all times while constructing, troubleshooting, and repairing the various drive systems. 1 class / 4 lab / 3 credits
