Strongly recommended: READ 099 if required by reading placement exam or if required by reading level. This course will focus on planning and implementing educational programs that supports successful parent-teacher partnerships. Analyses of family patterns, parent involvement, teaching techniques, and policy. Barriers to good parent-teacher relationships are analyzed and solutions generated. Emphasis is placed on building partnerships within the preschool and early-school age classroom. 18 lecture hours.
