Prerequisite: ESL 020. Strongly recommended: For students enrolled in ESL Level 3 core courses. Placement is based on multiple assessment measures or successful completion of ESL Level 2 core courses--ESL 020, 024 and ESL 026. A course for intermediate English language students providing additional practice in the four language skills--listening, speaking, reading and writing. Emphasis on vocabulary building, developing fluency in speaking, increasing written sentence complexity and developing reading skills. One of three coure courses in ESL Level 3 54 lecture hours. 9 lab hours arranged. NOTE: THE UNITS EARNED FOR THIS COURSE MAY NOT BE APPLIED TOWARD THE 60 UNITS FOR GRADUATION.
