Strongly recommended: READ 099 if required by reading placement exam or if required by reading level. This is an exploratory course designed for students considering a career in teaching. Through career assessments, personal exploration, occupational research and the study of contemporary work issues students will increase their understanding of the teaching profession. Students will be required to complete a field based assignment requiring observation and or assistance in a school or community agency. 18 lecture hours.
