Prerequisites: AUTO 112 or 120 or 125 and 128 and 129 or consent of department. Strongly recommended: READ 099 if required by reading placement exam or if required by reading level. This class covers the engine performance enhancements available for automotive vehicles. The subject areas covered include stand-alone engine management systems, fuel systems, turbochargers, superchargers, nitrous oxide, ignition systems, and the use of the chassis dynamometer as a tuning tool. 36 lecture hours, 54 lab hours.
