FSC 201. Fundamentals of Hazardous Materials (4). Fundamentals of chemicals encountered in fire service. Chemistry of flammable materials, containers used to store and transport hazardous materials, and equipment and materials used to control emergencies involving hazardous materials. Includes tactics for hazardous materials emergencies, federal and state laws, and disposal of hazardous materials. Prerequisite: FSC 104. Four lecture.
