An introduction to the basic physics of refrigeration, the refrigeration cy-cle, basic components and refrigerants. Oxy-fuel safety, working with tubing, and soldering are covered. Students will learn the purpose and safe use of tools used in the HVAC industry. This course covers various types of steel pipe and fittings and provides step-by-step instruction for cutting, threading, and joining ferrous piping.
