Prerequisites: CIS 202 (or concurrent enrollment in CIS 202) Out-of-class computer work required. Audit by consent of instructor only. Emphasis for this course will be on public telecommunications WAN services such as Frame Relay and PPP. Students will learn the advantages, disadvantages, and features of each service as well as how to configure Cisco routers to use each service. Practical application of access control lists (ACL) will be introduced. Network IP addressing solutions through the use of NAT, PAT, DHCP and private addresses will be stressed. Preparation course for the Cisco Certified Network Associate exam.
