This course is designed for the novice computer user and will include identifying computer components, proper computer maintenance, and an overview of the Windows environment. This course will include how to organize and locate files on the computer; email basics of sending/receiving attachments and maintaining an address book; and Internet topics such as Web addresses, searching, downloading pictures/files, and security issues. Using external devices such as Web cameras, digital cameras, and scanners may be introduced. Topics of interest to the class members may also be addressed. Course will not count toward graduation.
