Cross Reference: ART 209 Prerequisite: CIS 120 or consent of instructor Out-of-class computer work required. An introduction to computers as a digital prepress design tool. Applications include multicolor illustration and painting software, scanners, and postscript printer. This course expands on the practice of preparing art for multicolor printing and the principles and techniques of mechanical color separation with the use of computer software. Expansion of the student"s professional vocabulary is continued. The use of computers in drawing, typesetting, and printing production increases.
