Propagation of errors, approximation and interpolation, numerical integration, methods for the solution of equations, Runge-Kutta and predictor-corrector methods. Offered fall of even-numbered years. Preprequisites: MTH 275 with a grade of 2.0 or higher (or MTH 256 with a grade of 2.0 or higher), APM 255 with a grade of 2.0 or higher (or APM 257with a grade of 2.0 or higher) and knowledge of a scientific programming language, or permission of the instructor.
