Description:
Offered: Sp (even-numbered years). This course provides pre-service secondary biology teachers with opportunities to develop a framework that can be used to coordinate biological concepts and techniques obtained from science courses with pedagogical concepts and methods from education classes and teaching experiences. The development of a science teaching portfolio is required. Students enrolled in this course must also be available to work in one of the scheduled BIO101 labs. Prerequisite: 20 credit hours in science.
