Offered: F (even numbered years). Introduction to the principles of federal wildlife law as currently practiced in the United States. The course will survey the historical and constitutional origins of federal wildlife law and discuss the influence major statutes currently in effect exert on the biopolitics and daily practice of wildlife resource management and conservation. Three hours lecture, including discussions and/or special topics. Field trips may occasionally substitute for lecture/discussion periods at instructor's discretion, depending upon the topic. Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in BIO105.
