Using lecture, a variety of readings and media formats from diverse and relevant disciplines, this course will explore one of the foremost legacies of apartheid: distinct and often artificially created groups of citizens who for many generations have had very inequitable opportunities. Students will simultaneously be initiated in locating, using, and evaluating the information resources available to develop their own understanding of South Africa. Course Information: This course fulfills a general education requirement at UIS in the areas of Comparative Societies Social Sciences.
