This credit/no credit course is designed as a practical means to assist 2nd semester freshman who are on probation with raising their grade point averages to an acceptable level. Within the context of their current content courses, UNI 103 is intended to teach learning strategies and study habits that lead probationary students to academic success. UNI 103, in the short term, is intended to promote the retention rate of probationary students and, in the long term, intended to lead them to graduation from UIS. A pre- and post-test will be administered to determine for students and the UNI faculty member the level of students' proficiency.
