Topics: History of sexualities and social justice movements; legal and medical efforts to regulate non-normative sexualities; intersection of sexualities with race, class, gender, and physical ability; sexual orientation and public policy; cultural representations of sexual minorities. Course Information: Same as WGS 232. This course fulfills an Engaged Citizenship Common Experience requirement at UIS in the area of U.S. Communities or ECCE Elective.
