Seminar on the global history of Christian-Muslim relations from the seventh century through the twenty-first century. This course surveys first contacts, Christians living under Muslim rule, significant intellectual figures and their theological writings, Crusade and Jihad, recent global encounters and dialogue in the religious and public spheres. Course Information: This course fulfills an Engaged Citizenship Common Experience requirement at UIS in the areas of Global Awareness or ECCE Elective.
