Examination of qualitative and quantitative research methods used in communication. Methods examined include surveys, content analysis, discourse analysis, grounded theory, and ethnography. Focus is put on developing students’ familiarity with various methodologies in order to design and complete a mini-research project and write a research proposal for future coursework in Communication.
