This course uses documentary films, news/analysis interviews and several documentaries to examine how race is communicated and experienced in the U.S. It focuses on the barriers to genuine dialogue about black/white race relations with some attention to American Indians, Latinos/as and Asian Americans (Interpersonal emphasis area). Course Information: This course fulfills an Engaged Citizenship Common Experience requirement at UIS in the areas of U.S. Communities or ECCE Elective.
