Restoration Ecology is a relatively new and growing field of study in ecology. This course will examine the process of repairing damage caused by humans to the diversity and dynamics of ecosystems. The approach to study will be to consider examples (case studies) of successful projects, and explore design aspects to restoration. Students with a background in biology and chemistry are encouraged to attend; a course in ecology is recommended. Course Information: Prerequisite: Ecology or permission of instructor.
