The course teaches students how to orchestrate and arrange for a wide variety of instrumental and vocal ensembles of varying levels of expertise and complexity, from young student ensembles to more advanced ensembles. Using state-of-the-art notational software, the course is especially targeted at future music educators, providing them with the skills needed to arrange, orchestrate, and/or edit new and existing compositions for use with student ensembles of varying degrees of advancement and instrumentation.Prerequisites: MUSC 104, MUSC 214Credit, two hours.
