Description:
-
This course, taught in a cooperative learning style by trained peer leaders, will help students succeed in their mathematics and science courses by teaching them strategies to solve problems. Students will learn to break down problems to identify what is known and unknown and the steps required to arrive at the answer. They will also learn to competently share their problem-solving strategies verbally and in writing. The course emphasizes developing flexible problem-solving strategies and describing them to others rather than simply getting an answer. Credit, one hour.
