A survey of the major issues faced by a manager operating in an international environment is the focus of the course. The aim of the course is to examine how different national and cultural environments affect the way that multinational companies (MNCs) operate from one country to the next. Topics include: an overview of global management, cultural environment, why firms internationalize operations, international human resource management, cross-cultural communication and decision-making, international strategies, and organizing international enterprises.Prerequisites: Senior status.Credit, three hours.
