The entrepreneurial model is used as a prototype. It is the basics of developing a new enterprise. Students begin with the elements of how to identify new business ideas and opportunities, sources of venture ideas, and franchising opportunities. They develop a business plan for a start-up firm; establish the feasibility for the new idea; prepare a marketing audit to determine the potential organization's strategic position; and develop strategies, budgets, tactics, and activities to implement the new business idea. This is an applied course and students are expected to work in small groups to create and implement a new venture idea.Prerequisites: Junior Status.Credit, three hours.
