The course provides a critical review of current and proposed legislation and institutions pertaining to the management of an organization's human resources. Contemporary employment practices and the law are explained in detail. Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Civil Rights Act of 1967, and federal affirmative action programs are among the many issues discussed.Prerequisites: ACCT 302.Credit, three hours.
