Presents various methods of teaching the numerous phases of community living with special attention being given to community, history and geography, social types and groups. Opportunities are provided for constructing units and projects in social studies for the elementary school child. Field experience is required (10 hours).Prerequisites: EDUC 204, HIST 201. Admission to Teacher Education Program is required.Credit, three hours.
