An advanced study of basic and essential processes of eukaryotic cells with the emphasis on the correlation of structure and function at the organelle and cellular level as related to their biochemical properties and physiology. Topics covered will include cell cycle regulation, cell signaling pathways, and control of apoptosis. Three (3) lecture hours and three (3) hours of lab each week.Prerequisites: BIOL 215, CHEM 403 or BIOL 422.Credit, four hours.
