This course introduces the OSI model, network topologies, IP addressing, and subnet masks, simple routing techniques, and basic switching terminology. Topics include the basic functions of the seven layers of the OSI model, different classes of IP addressing and subnetting, and router login scripts. Upon completion, students should be able to list the key internetworking functions of the OSI Networking Layer and how they are performed in a variety of router types.Credit, none.
