This course deals with energy resources, energy conversion, and energy conseration. Topics covered include different types of energy resources and their uses, different types of energy conversion technology such as fuel cells, thermoelectric, solar energy conversion, and energy conservation technologies such as pinch technology and cogeneration. Current status and future challenges of energy generation and conservation including critical issues such as air pollution, smog and greenhouse effects and NOx emissions will also be discussed.
