This course will deal with the birth and death of the Cold War, decolonization, north/south rivalry, ethnic and cultural conflict, nuclear proliferation, trends in international trade, technological transfer and development, the rise of the Pacific Rim, conflict in the Middle East, and international relations since the end of the Cold War.
