This course presents health informatics to the student. The emphasis is on the management and processing of medical records/health data, information and knowledge to support the practice of healthcare, administration, health education, and research. The student is exposed to current and emerging technologies and the related healthcare policies that enhance the quality of patient care. Course content focuses on both the Internet and Non-Internet based technologies. Several laboratory projects will be assigned.
