This course emphasizes grammar instruction in the context of developing practical writing skills. Students complete a variety of writing assignments and learn to develop thesis statements with supporting details. This course does not meet the Writing 1 or 2 competency requirement for graduation but may be used to meet free elective requirements for graduation.(Students taking ENGL 100 must enroll in ENGL 101Q to fulfill their Writing 1 requirement. Placement in this course is by exam only.)
