Prerequisite: SPED 202 and admission to the Professional Education Program This course will develop the professional skills of beginning educators. It will address the areas of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, writing 504 plans, progress monitoring, existing state and federal laws, working in inclusion settings with general educators, supervising paraprofessionals and working with parents and community agencies. This course will examine validated professional practices in special education. (CWRM)
