Prerequisite: CHEM 142 or consent of instructor An introductory course in organic chemistry organized in terms of the structure of organic compounds, mechanism of organic and biorganic and environmental chemistry. The laboratory includes an elementary, middle, and high school Chemistry OutReach project for students interested in science teaching careers. Three hours of lecture and four hours of laboratory weekly.
