This foundational course provides an introduction to drug therapy across the lifespan. Drug classifications, methods of administration, physiological actions, purpose, and mechanism of action, desired and adverse effects of the drug are examined. Emphasis is placed on the nurses¿ responsibility in drug administration and patient assessment of response to drug therapy.
