This course is designed to introduce graduate students to the dynamics of managing financial insitutions within a competitive and quickly changing marketplace. Topics will include: regulation, asset-liability management, off-balance sheet management, liquidity, risk management, product pricing, and the lending process. Lectures and assigned problems will be supplemented by the standard Bank Game, and interactive computer-simulation program which allows students to learn experientially by managing a virtual bank. 3 hrs.
