This course builds upon the principles of primary health care nursing of parents and children presented in NURS 560, NURS 561, NURS 562, and NURS 564 and includes the two components of clinical practicum and clinical decision-making seminar. Students will become increasingly independent in the delivery of health care services, and will consult with preceptors and other team members as appropriate. Faculty meets regularly with students and preceptors to evaluate student performance and successful attainment of course objectives. Written feedback on student clinical summaries and conferences facilitate this final component of the transition to the Masters-prepared nurse practitioner role. Corequisite: NURS 564 (4 credits)
