This course allows the student the opportunity to integrate the theoretical and clinical components of primary health care nursing for the pediatric/adolescent client and family at an advanced level. Concepts from Scholarly Inquiry, family systems theory, and developmental theory provide the conceptual framework. Emphasis is placed on the continued development of the skills and knowledge necessary for the assessment, diagnosis and management of common acute and chronic illnesses in these populations. Prerequisites: NURS 560 and NURS 560A (3 credits)
